Privacy Policy
Storm Salon Social, operated by Storm Global, Inc. ("Storm," "we," "us"), is a marketing studio for salons and beauty brands based in California. This policy explains what we collect on stormsalonsocial.com and its subdomains, and what we access when a client connects a social media account (such as Pinterest) for us to manage on their behalf.
Connected social accounts (including Pinterest)
Storm manages social media marketing for salon and beauty clients. When a client authorizes us to manage one of their accounts, for example a Pinterest business account, they connect it through that platform's official login (OAuth). We only access an account after its owner grants permission, and only the account they choose.
For a connected Pinterest account, we access the boards, pins, and performance analytics on that account so we can create and schedule pins and report on results for the client. We do not access the personal Pinterest browsing of the account owner or of anyone else.
- How we store it. The access token that lets us act on a connected account is stored securely and used only to provide our marketing service. We never store Pinterest passwords.
- How we use it. Only to manage the client's own account: creating pins, scheduling, and reporting. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to advertise to third parties.
- Revoking access. A client can disconnect us at any time from their Pinterest account settings, or by emailing us. When access is revoked we delete the stored token and stop accessing the account.
- Retention. We keep connected-account data only as long as the client uses our service. Analytics we pull for reporting are kept only as needed to produce those reports.
Our use of Pinterest data follows the Pinterest Developer Terms and the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
YouTube
When a client authorizes their YouTube channel, Storm uses the YouTube API Services to upload and schedule videos to that channel on the client's behalf, and to read back each video's status so we can report on results. We only access a channel after its owner connects it through Google's official login (OAuth), and only the channel they choose.
- How we use it. Only to publish and schedule the client's own content to their own channel, and to report on it. We do not use it to advertise to third parties.
- How we store it. The access token that lets us publish is stored securely and used only to provide our service. We never store Google passwords.
- Revoking access. A client can revoke Storm's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by emailing us. When access is revoked we delete the stored token and stop accessing the channel.
Our use of information received from YouTube APIs follows the Google Privacy Policy, and by connecting a channel the client agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you book a strategy call, our scheduling tool (Calendly) collects your name, email, and anything else you enter, so we can confirm and hold the call.
- Information collected automatically. Like most sites, we use cookies and similar tools to understand how the page performs and to measure our advertising. This includes basic device and usage data.
Cookies and tracking
We use a few advertising and analytics tools. They load when you visit this page:
- Google Ads and Analytics (GA4): to measure whether our ads lead to booked calls and to understand how the page performs.
- Meta Pixel: to measure results and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this page.
- Microsoft Clarity: to see how visitors use the page (scroll, clicks, and anonymized session recordings) so we can improve it.
These load when the page opens. You can turn them off at any time: use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our site footer, which switches off analytics and advertising trackers on your device and is remembered here. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically, so if your browser sends it, these tools stay off without you doing anything. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser, opt out of ad personalization in your Google and Meta ad settings, or email us to have your information removed.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make this page work: Google, Meta, Calendly. Each has its own privacy policy: Google, Meta, Calendly, Microsoft.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies in your browser, or opt out of Google and Meta ad personalization in their own settings. Email us anytime to have your information removed.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its correction or deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of it. We do not sell your personal information for money. Because we use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel, some cookie-based ad measurement may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and you can opt out of it.
To opt out, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link (also in the footer of every page), which turns off analytics and advertising trackers on your device. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically. You can also opt out in your Google and Meta ad settings, or email us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
